There are places on Earth where the veil is thin, where stone and waters carry ancient memory and where the body remembers her oracular nature. Delphi is one of these places. Resting on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, once known as the Omphalos, the navel of the world, this is a powerful place where the oracle becomes the voice of the land.

Long before the temples of Apollo were raised in marble and stone, Delphi was a sanctuary of Gaia, the Great Mother, the living Earth herself. This was a place where her presence rose through the ground in breath and vapor, where the body could enter communion with the deep intelligence that moves beneath all things. The earliest oracles listened here, receiving guidance from the chthonic currents of the Earth, from the womb of Gaia herself. The Oracle was not separate from Gaia, but an instrument through which her voice could be heard.

For thousands of years, pilgrims walked the mountain paths to this sanctuary, carrying their questions, their grief, and their longing to know. They came to sit in the presence of the Pythia, to listen for what moved beneath the surface of ordinary thought, and to find their way back into right relationship with their lives.
